With a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from U.C. Irvine, Jeff Hendrix is well-established in the world of dance, known for his unparalleled expertise in choreography and videography. However, Jeff's journey through the world of dance is not just about qualifications; it's a captivating story of mentorship, passion, and a deep connection to the art.
In the 1980s, Jeff found himself under the guidance of the legendary Luigi at the renowned Luigi Jazz Center. Such was their bond that Luigi affectionately referred to Jeff as his "#1 son from Texas," a testament to the special mentorship that transcended generations.

Jeff's journey of training didn't stop with Luigi. He extensively honed his craft under the watchful eyes of esteemed dance luminaries such as Rhett Dennis, Stanley Hall, and Dennon Rawles, each contributing to the development of his unique dance perspective.
Jeff's performance credits read like a celebration of the classic stage, featuring memorable roles in productions such as "A Chorus Line," "Anything Goes," "Guys and Dolls," and "Oklahoma." These experiences shaped his deep understanding of the art of performance, a knowledge that he now imparts to his students.
Luigi recognized Jeff's exceptional talent, referring him to teach at prestigious institutions such as the Nat Horn Studio (NYC), New Jersey Ballet, Ballet Russe de Montreal, and the Svetlova Dance Center (Vermont). His influence spread far and wide, transcending borders and cultures. Jeff's international reach includes choreography and teaching engagements in places as diverse as Zurich (Columbo), Vienna (Schutz Ballet), Japan (Okomoto Ballet), and even the Maui Academy of Performing Arts and Bermuda Academy of Ballet.
Today, Jeff Hendrix is not just a dancer but a dedicated educator. He shares his wealth of knowledge with students at California State University Dominguez Hills and several community colleges in the vibrant dance landscapes of L.A. and Orange County. His choreography talents know no bounds, as he regularly crafts captivating pieces in jazz, tap, salsa, and swing genres. Recent credits include his work as a choreographer for "Cabaret" at Pasadena City College, "Pura Vida" (Latin Jazz) for Long Beach City College, and "Suite Sondheim" (Jazz and Tap) for CSUDH, where his choreography was even adjudicated at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference at U.C. Irvine.
As a testament to his dedication to dance education, Jeff Hendrix also contributed to the Jazz Dance Teacher's Conference at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He continues to refine his skills and knowledge with Jazz Antiqua, a testament to his unwavering commitment to dance.
Notably, Jeff is proud to be a torchbearer for the "Luigi Jazz Technique Teacher Certification," an initiative that preserves and promotes the rich legacy of Luigi's contribution to the world of dance.
